Paris and Benji go 'wild' in Africa, before her lesbian TV show party

SOCIALITE heiress Paris Hilton and her rock star boyfriend Benji Madden went wild while visiting South Africa, it has been revealed.

Following the couple's departure, local media reports in South Africa's paper The Times say Hilton and Madden went on a safari adventure at the Aquila Private Game Reserve, near Cape Town.

The glamorous couple spent a few days in the honeymoon suite at the plush game reserve, and the Good Charlotte band also went along for the ride.

Sources say the group were on the lookout for the Big Five to provide some "wild adventure" on their visit to the African continent. The pair were in South Africa for the My Coke Fest music festival.

Hilton and Madden went on long game drives, viewed Khoi San rock art and got up-close-and-personal with the large herds of game at the luxury reserve.

Aquila owner Searl Derman told The Times he was pleased the resort was the chosen place for celebrities and VIPs to hide out and experience a Big Five safari while visiting Cape Town.

After Africa, Hilton and Madden touched down in Munich, where they were seen dressing like a reflection of each other.UK tabloid The Sun then reports Hilton was seen out n' about partying back in Hollywood until the early hours with girl pals from hit lesbian TV show The L Word at posh nightspot Falcon.

Hilton was snapped with an unusual hairstyle dubbed 'The Mr Whippy do'.An onlooker said: "It was a rather unusual and daring hairdo. Not many people could pull it off."

Jamie Lynn Spears engaged: report

The pregnant 16-year-old sister of troubled pop star Britney Spears is engaged, it was reported Tuesday.

People magazine reported that Jamie Lynn Spears -- the star of the US television show "Zoey 101" whose pregnancy last year sparked a nationwide debate -- has been showing off an engagement ring to friends.

Her fiance is the father of her baby, boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, People said. "She's got an engagement ring," a source close to Spears told People. "She's been showing it off, talking about it."

News of Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy last year came as her more famous elder sister battled for custody of her own two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline amid allegations of being an unfit mother.

Soon after confirmation of the pregnancy, Spears' mother Lynne shelved plans for a a book on parenting.

Lynne Spears had been due to release "Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World" via publisher Thomas Nelson next month.

Britney Spears gives CBS sitcom a ratings boost

A guest appearance by Britney Spears gave the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" its highest viewership of the season on Monday, and assures the modest performer will be renewed for a fourth season in the fall.

"Mother" pulled in about 10.6 million viewers, a huge spike from its season-to-date average of 7.8 million, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Critics were relatively impressed. "Spears proved she can act every bit as well as she can sing," wrote the New York Daily News. "Brit looked slim, (OK she was behind a desk), trim and gorgeous," wrote the New York Post.

"Mother" was the fourth-highest-rated show of the evening, and CBS won the night (averaging 12.5 million viewers), even as the rest of its comedy lineup dropped slightly from last week's record-setting return to original episodes.

Spears, whose professional achievements have been engulfed by an avalanche of marital, health and legal woes in recent years, played a dermatology office secretary named Abby. She said in a statement issued two weeks ago, while shooting her scenes, that she was having "a blast."

"How I Met Your Mother," narrated through flashbacks from the future, stars Josh Radnor as a man who is joined in his quest for true love by his lecherous pal, played by Neil Patrick Harris.

Facebook Privacy Glitch Revealed Private Paris Hilton Pictures

Facebook's recent effort to improve user privacy controls didn't quite work.

following Facebook's deployment of improved privacy controls last week, Byron Ng, a computer technician from Vancouver, British Columbia, began testing whether the privacy controls worked.

It turns out they didn't. Ng was able to pull up private pictures of Paris Hilton at the Emmy Awards and of her brother Barron Nicholas, along with other access-restricted pictures, according to The Associated Press.

The AP said it verified Ng's claim by accessing a personal photo that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had posted in 2005.

A spokesperson for Facebook said in an e-mail that the privacy hole was a bug and that it was fixed immediately. "We take privacy very seriously and continue to make enhancements to the site," the spokesperson said.

Facebook and other social networking sites have continued to prosper despite ongoing warnings about the risks of revealing too much information online.

In a blog post over the weekend, Petko D. Petkov, founder of security consulting firm GnuCitizen, calls social networks an "extremely bad idea from a security standpoint." He warns that the proliferation of personal information in social networking profiles enables malicious identity attacks, which he calls "evil twin attacks."

Last week, the Children's Charities' Coalition for Internet Safety, a U.K.-based group, published an open letter asking U.K. government officials to make it illegal for companies and educational institutions to scan social networking profiles for information that might be used to influence hiring or admission decisions.

The group acknowledged that using the Internet to gather publicly available information can be beneficial for companies and educational institutions, but it worried that pursuing such research avenues as a matter of course might disadvantage those who don't participate online. It also expressed concern that unverified information, information taken out of context, or information intended to be private might unduly influence hiring or admissions procedures.

Social networking sites have also weathered repeated criticism for not doing enough to keep sexual predators away from their sites. In October, Facebook, in response to an investigation initiated by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, said it would implement new measures to protect against sexual predators, obscene content, and harassment.

Paris Hilton gets a D-minus in Social Studies

The one thing you can say about Paris Hilton – she's consistent. If she can blow it – she will.

And if she can patronize her hosts at the same time, that's 'ok' for a girl tirelessly brushing up her reputation as the ultimate in dumb blondes.

The heiress, jailbird, porn video star, TV presenter, and socialite's latest 'Doh!' moment came on a whirlwind tour of Africa with beau Benji Madden and his band Good Charlotte.

Bad – she gushed to waiting pressmen: "I love Africa in general - South Africa and West Africa, they are both great countries."

As most 11th graders could tell her, South Africa IS a country. West Africa is not.

West Africa is a 3 billion square mile area made up of 16 countries - Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Cape Verde, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.

Fortunately as the band played at My Coke Fest 2008, she was able to overcome any suggestions of her being a lightweight by visiting a local school in Johannesburg and handing out much needed photos of herself in a white bikini.

Then she was guest of honor at a VIP party she arranged to honor… Paris Hilton.

Next she is visiting Germany, Turkey, and Hungary and the Czech Republic – wherever they are.

Paris Hilton on `My Name is Earl'

NBC is pumping up the return of "My Name is Earl" with a guest shot by Paris Hilton.

Hilton appears as herself in a dream sequence. Earl has been knocked unconscious and various things from his life and imagination are bleeding into his fevered mind.

Her appearance will come in the one-hour episode on April 3 that is the first new material following the writers strike settlement, NBC said.

"When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren't exactly sure who to go with for the role," said Greg Garcia, the show's executive producer. "But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton."

Hilton has just finished work on the movie "Repo: The Genetic Opera."

Lindsay Lohan's mom to star in reality TV show

Dina Lohan took a lot of heat for managing daughter Lindsay Lohan's rise to stardom and U.S. television viewers now can watch as she shepherds 14-year-old daughter Ali into a show business career.

A new program, "Living Lohan" promises to take audiences inside the suburban New York home of Dina and Ali, starting this summer on E!, the cable TV network said on Tuesday.

The premiere date has yet to be set and the show's name is still a "working title" but E! said the program will "follow Dina as she works double duty as mom and manager to help Ali try to follow in her big sister's famous footsteps."

And those are big -- but not always glamorous -- footsteps.

Lindsay Lohan, 21, began modeling as a child and created a name for herself as an up-and-coming teenage actress in Disney movies such as "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls."

As she entered her late teens, Lohan undertook more difficult roles and earned critical praise in films such as "A Prairie Home Companion" from legendary director Robert Altman.

But last year, Lohan's personal life took a tumble as she battled drug and alcohol abuse and was arrested twice by local law enforcement officials.

She wrecked her car in Beverly Hills in May, and two months later was involved in a car chase. In both cases, she possessed a small amount of cocaine. By August, Lohan was in treatment at a rehab facility in Utah. In recent months she has mostly stayed out of Hollywood's limelight.

Dina Lohan came under criticism for, perhaps, allowing her daughter to live a late-night life of Hollywood club-hopping, and E! acknowledged she has faced "intense scrutiny"

But Lisa Berger, executive vice president of original programming for E!, said Dina Lohan "is an incredibly hard-working, passionate mom that I think our viewers will find both relatable and highly entertaining."

E! said it had been given unprecedented access to the Lohan family.

Ali, whose real name is Aliana, also began modeling as a child and has some limited acting experience appearing in small roles in movies such as "The Parent Trap." There are also two Lohan bothers -- Cody, 11, and Michael, 20.

Paris Hilton Brother Arrested for DUI

Another Hilton has landed in the gray-bar hotel.Paris Hilton's younger brother Barron Hilton was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly driving under the influence, authorities said. Barron Hilton was held at the Malibu station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. No other information was immediately available, said sheriff's Sgt. Diane Hecht.

As word of his arrest spread, nearly a dozen paparazzi swarmed the sheriff's station.

Paris Hilton pleaded no contest last year to alcohol-related reckless driving and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. The 26-year-old celebutante served a little more than two weeks.

Lindsay Lohan to replace Spears as party hostess

LINDSAY LOHAN is to replace one-time party pal BRITNEY SPEARS as the host of a Scandinavian Style Mansion gala in Los Angeles next week (beg10Mar08), according to reports. Spears was asked to host the event by Danish businessman Claus Hjelmbak, but he rescinded the invitation last month (Feb08) after the bipolar pop star was admitted to hospital after an intervention with her psychologist. Hjelmbak said, "I personally feel that the most important thing for her now is to focus on her health and get the help she needs and deserves."

And now Lohan has stepped up to take Spears' place at the party, which promotes Scandinavian products. Lohan's representative tells PlanetGossip.Eonline.com that the actress/singer has been approached to host the party. Spears celebrated her 26th birthday at a Scandinavian Style Mansion event in December (07).

Paris Hilton desperate to be taken seriously

Socialite PARIS HILTON is urging the media to publicise all the work she does for charity - in a desperate bid to avoid further ridicule in the press. The Simple Life star has posed topless for the current February (08) issue of U.S. magazine 944, and revealed in the accompanying interview her desire to be taken seriously, reports the New York Daily News.

The 27-year-old says, "It makes me angry because people don't know the real me. Yes, I do get paid to go to parties. But when you see me at a party, I'm always working or promoting something. "I work with so many organisations, especially Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles and the Make-A-Wish Foundation." The remarks came just days before the heiress was seen enjoying a night out on Saturday (01Mar08) with a bearded spiritual guru, who appeared to bless her after she paid a visit to the Bodhi Tree Bookstore in Hollywood.

Lindsay Lohan's mom agreed with pictures same to Monroe

Lindsay Lohan is pictured assuming the same poses Monroe did in her infamous "last sitting" for photographer Bert Stern 46 years ago, relates Chicago Tribune.

Dina Lohan has given the thumbs up to the nude photographs of her daughter in the latest issue of New York magazine.

"It was very tastefully done," she told People of her daughter’s cover shoot.

Lindsay recently paired up with photographer Bert Stein to recreate his legendary 1962 nude shoot with Marilyn Monroe. The photos appeared in New York magazine earlier this week, showing Lohan covered occasionally by see-through bits of fabric.

A Las Vegas man plans to unveil what he says is a rare photo of Marilyn Monroe posing as a nude hitchhiker. Lawrence Nicastro says he found the photo last year while going through storage items.

Speaking of Monroe and nudity, Lindsay Lohan's manager-mom Dina approves of the nude re-creations Lindsay did. "It was very tastefully done," Dina told People of the re-creation of Monroe's 1962 photo shoot by Bert Stern. "I respect the photographer as an artist, so I look at them artistically."

Paris Hilton parties with Pussycat Dolls

Paris Hilton performs as a Las Vegas Pussycat Doll at her birthday party on the weekend.

Paris Hilton celebrated her 27th birthday by performing a sexy striptease on Saturday night.

The hotel heiress wore three separate outfits for the performance in the Pussycat Dolls Lounge in Las Vegas' Caesar's Palace, and ended up in a white sparkly bra and knickers set performing a raunchy dance routine in a giant martini glass alongside the Pussycat Dolls.

One onlooker said: "Paris looked as though she was having a fantastic time!

She started off wearing black bondage lingerie before changing into a corset, knickers and suspenders.

"By the end of the performance she was in this martini glass and the crowd was going crazy."

Following the sexy show, Paris joined her friends at the Pure nightclub next door where they indulged in some more traditional birthday celebrations.

Paris recently revealed she had designed her own outfits for the performance.

She said: "I'm designing my own costume, something sexy. I've been practising all week. This is my first time singing and performing with the Pussycat Dolls. I'm totally nervous but it should be fun."

Lindsay Lohan recreates Marilyn Monroe's last nude photo shoot

Lindsay Lohan is following in the footsteps of the most famous blond bombshell of them all — Marilyn Monroe.

In the issue of New York magazine on sale Monday, the 21-year-old star of "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" poses nude for photographer Bert Stern in a recreation of one of Monroe's most famous photo shoots, done shortly before she died.

Stern photographed Monroe in 1962 at the Hotel Bel-Air in California, six weeks before she was found dead from an overdose of barbiturates. Those images for Vogue magazine feature Monroe in next to nothing, posing nude with some scarves and jewelry as her accessories and sipping champagne.

Stern recreated those images with Lohan this month, at the same hotel, with Lohan wearing a blond wig and not much else.

In the essay accompanying the photos, Lohan, who admitted to a serious interest in Monroe, said deciding to do the photo shoot was easy.

"I didn't have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It's really an honor," she told the magazine.

Lohan described Monroe's suicide as "tragic" and said it, along with the Jan. 22 death of actor Heath Ledger from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, "are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone."

The actress, who has been in and out of rehab after two arrests last year on drunken driving and cocaine charges, said she didn't know why the industry wreaked such havoc on some stars, adding, ``I sure as hell wouldn't let it happen to me.''

Stern told The Associated Press that he found women like Lohan and her tabloid companions Paris Hilton and Britney Spears ``interesting.''

``They're girls that draw attention to their notoriety and their celebrity through their behavior,'' he said Monday.

He noted that Monroe and Lohan had similar problems with alcohol but added that — in contrast to the sessions with Monroe — there was no alcohol on the set when he photographed Lohan.

He said he thought the photo shoot would be good for the young actress, giving her the chance to portray herself as a grown-up. He also lauded her for her willingness to do it in the nude.

"I thought she was a natural, not at all squeamish," he said.

A phone message left for Lohan's publicist Leslie Sloane-Zelnik seeking comment Monday was not immediately returned.

Paris Hilton to be banned from attending the Oscars

Socialite Paris Hilton has been banned from attending the Oscars, according to Daily Star reports.

Hilton, whose latest film The Hottie And The Nottie is ranked the worst movie of all time, has already picked out a £2 million Kira Plastinina dress for the ceremony.

A source revealed to the Daily Star: "She cried hot, salty tears when she was banned from the Oscars.

"She’s desperate to be taken seriously as an actress and hoped she would be able to network with the film bods."

Hilton's acting career is in jeopardy after The Hottie And The Nottie grossed just £13,848 in its opening weekend in the US.

The source also said Hilton may try to get into after-show parties but will probably have to go incognito.

"She’s tempted to go to the parties afterwards, but might wear her trademark brunette wig to save her dignity."

Judge puts brakes on Britney Spears' traffic case

A judge put the brakes on Britney Spears' driving-without-a-license case Wednesday after her lawyers said they don't believe the troubled pop star is capable of resolving the matter.

Superior Court Judge T.K. Herman continued the misdemeanor case until March 20 after lawyer J. Michael Flanagan said Spears' conservatorship attorneys "do not think she is qualified or capable of entering into a binding agreement" at this time.

The attorneys also don't believe Spears, 26, is capable of giving a deposition or signed declaration, Flanagan said.

Earlier this month, a judge placed Spears under the conservatorship of her father and an attorney after more than a year of increasingly bizarre behavior by the singer.

Spears hit a parked car on Aug. 6, 2007, and left without notifying the owner. She was originally cited for hit and run and driving without a license, but the hit-and-run charge was dropped.

Paris Hilton: Britney's a `great mother'

Paris Hilton is rooting for Britney Spears."I wish the best for her and I just wish everyone would leave her alone so she could live her life," the 26-year-old hotel heiress-actress tells E! News. "She's a great mother and a great girl and I really care about her."

In an interview that was to air Tuesday night, Hilton says: "She's a very sweet girl and I love her to death."

Hilton and Spears were nearly inseparable following the pop star's split from ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The tabloid magnets were photographed partying, shopping and driving in a car with Lindsay Lohan in the weeks after Spears filed for divorce from Federline in November 2006. But their whirlwind public friendship seemed to fizzle out after Spears' fans complained that Hilton was a negative influence.

Hilton served a 23-day jail sentence in Los Angeles last June for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless-driving case. She vowed to focus on philanthropy afterward.

Meanwhile, Spears, 26, continued to unravel in the public eye after a rough year in which she shaved her head, checked in and out of rehab and attacked a car with an umbrella.

She was taken to a Los Angeles hospital by paramedics earlier this month after police were called to her home because of a dispute involving her two sons. A court commissioner decided to keep in effect an order suspending Spears' right to visit Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2.

Paris Hilton back to Philadelphia

When Paris Hilton strutted into Franklin Mills about 6:30 p.m., fans erupted at the sight of the woman who has risen from obscenely wealthy heiress to B-movie actress.

Surrounded by an entourage of police, security guards and assistants, Hilton sauntered into the mall through a side entrance near the AMC movie theater and onto a stage.

“I love Philadelphia,” she said to the crowd of more than 1,000 who had gathered to watch her peddle her latest grasp at publicity. “You're all hotties (pause) so (pause) it's hot.”

Hilton appears in the film “The Hottie & the Nottie,” the story of a man who follows his love interest —the “hottie” Hilton — to L.A. only to develop feelings for her best friend, the “nottie,” according to the Internet Movie Database.

“I wanted to meet Paris because she's a big figure in today's society,” said Brian Dowers of Philadelphia's Mayfair section. While acknowledging Hilton can't solve the world's problems, Dowers said she influences a lot of “fashion and nightlife.”

Lauren Greco of Richboro and Taylor Quirk of Huntington Valley said Paris is “very nice” after getting her autograph.

“It kinda proves that the media skews who somebody is,” Greco said. “They make her out to be bad, but I don't think she's bad. Good things happen to good people.”

Not everyone was at the mall to see Hilton though. Some were delayed getting to their cars by security guards blocking sections of the concourse and entrances so Hilton could walk in unimpeded by other human beings. Others didn't even know she was there.

Jay Rivera of North Philadelphia was waiting for his wife to finish shopping so they could watch “Cloverfield” or one of the other movies playing at the theater.

But still it was cool with some mall goers.

“It's pretty cool she's here,” Anthony Franzzo of Northeast Philadelphia said. He and a friend had stopped by the mall for something to eat after going to a nearby gym.

“It's kinda funny, you don't expect this sorta thing in your own neighborhood,” he said.

After signing autographs for several dozen fans, Hilton went into the theater to see the movie along with many fans who received free tickets.

Perhaps two of her biggest fans at the mall were Brittany and Kelly Lowry of Quakertown. The two young women had brought their micro-Chihuahua Diamond — the same breed as Hilton's Tinkerbell.

“We love her,” Brittany Lowry said. “She's our idol because she's rich, she's hot, she's famous and she gets what she wants.”

Britney Spears' licence case delayed

Britney Spears' lawyer has won more time to work on the pop star's case in which she is charged with driving without a valid license.

Attorney Michael Flanagan appeared with prosecutor Michael Amerian before a judge and said they had been unable to agree on what law applies. They asked for more time and were given until February 20.

But Judge TK Herman said that he was not going to grant any more delays after that, and if the parties could not agree he would order a trial.

"It's this court's intention to force both sides to go to trial within 30 days of that date," he said.

The case stems from an August incident in which Spears was videotaped as she bumped another vehicle while parking her Mercedes-Benz. She left after looking over the damage from the fender-bender.

The owner of the other vehicle later filed a police report and Spears was charged in September with misdemeanour hit-and-run and driving without a valid license. The hit-and-run charges were dismissed in October after Spears paid an undisclosed sum to the owner.

Flanagan said outside court that Spears was driving with a Louisiana license that was valid because she owns homes in that state. But he said that when a person is "domiciled" in California they are required to get a California license and that Spears did so within a week after the charges were filed.

"There's no dispute about the facts here," he said. "The dispute is about what the law is that's appropriate to the facts."

Tara Reid - Lindsay Lohan And Paris Hilton Deserved Jail

Hollywood actress TARA REID has slammed fellow stars PARIS HILTON and LINDSAY LOHAN - stating they deserved the punishment they received for breaking the law. The American Pie star feels she is unfairly portrayed as a party animal, insisting she has never done anything to deserve the bad press - unlike Lohan and Hilton. The 32-year-old actress, who has become more famous for her alleged wild antics than her film roles in recent years, believes she is often punished for simply enjoying herself. She says, "What have I ever really done? Dance on a table? When Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton got their DUIs (drinking under the influence arrests) they got punished, they deserved it. "But my punishment, I don't feel like it fits the crime. I don't understand why people punish others for being happy."

Britney Spears Took Drug On Aged 14

Britney Spears began experimenting with alcohol and drugs in her early teens, her uncle has said.

According to William Spears, the Toxic star first tried alcohol as a 13-year-old before beginning to smoke marijuana the following year.

Talking to the Sun, the singer's uncle also revealed he had once taken drugs alongside his troubled niece.

"I know she did cocaine on her 18th birthday - I was there," he said. "We were at a party in an apartment and I spotted her doing a line just before I did one. We smoked pot together too.

"She has tried just about everything - cocaine, crystal meth, ecstasy," the 49-year-old welder added.

The 26-year-old starlet is currently in the midst of a lengthy legal dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline over the custody of their two children.

This week she again failed to attend a court hearing regarding the case and her uncle fears Britney could suffer a fate similar to her grandmother Emma Jean, who committed suicide aged just 31.

He added: "Britney is in an unstable state of mind now and there is nothing anyone can do about it. She is not listening to anybody. If people think she has reached the bottom, they are very wrong. Suicide is the bottom line for Britney."

It has been reported that the singer has grown "receptive" to the idea of seeking professional help for her problems after the suspension of her visitation rights to sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, was again upheld.

Harvard magazine honours Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton is heading to Harvard.

The 26-year-old actress-socialite has been named Harvard Lampoon's "Hastiest Pudding of the Lampoon Award," the comedy magazine said Tuesday.

She will visit Harvard on Feb. 6 to accept her award, said Regent Releasing, the company that's distributing her new comedy, "The Hottie & the Nottie."

Hilton, whose body of work includes "House of Wax" and TV's "The Simple Life," stars as the attractive best friend to an ugly duckling in the new comedy, slated for release Feb. 8.

She also co-stars in the upcoming horror musical "Repo! The Genetic Opera!" which she began filming in Canada after serving a 23-day jail sentence in Los Angeles last June for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Britney Spears should be allowed to see kids: poll

Despite Britney Spears' erratic behavior, most people think the troubled pop star should be allowed to see her two sons a few times a week under supervision while ex-husband Kevin Federline retains custody, according to an E-Poll/Reuters survey.

Spears, 26, lost custody of her children last year after a series of strange episodes in the wake of splitting from Federline including being photographed without underwear, shaving her head, and attacking a car with an umbrella.

She was barred from visiting her sons earlier this month after refusing to return the boys and being hospitalized for two days. She failed to make a custody hearing on Monday with another hearing scheduled for February 19.

Some people have written off the singer, with a survey by E-Poll Market Research (http://epollresearch.com), conducted for Reuters, finding 26 percent of those questioned believe she should not be allowed to see her children at all.

But the survey found some sympathy, with 51 percent of people said Spears should be allowed to visit 2-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, 1, a few times a week supervised.

Only 1 percent backed Spears getting full custody of the boys while the rest did not know or wanted unlimited visits.

But the overwhelming message from the survey of 1,941 American adults was that Spears needed to stop drinking and taking drugs, change her friends, and grow up. Others voiced opinion that she was suffering some mental illness.

"She needs to clean up her act and start acting like a responsible adult and mother and not like a spoiled brat," said one survey participant. "She will eventually be dead if she does not change her lifestyle."

The majority of people, or 62 percent, blamed alcohol and drugs for the downfall of Spears who was the world's top-selling female artist in the early 2000s.

Two out of 10, however, blamed the Hollywood environment while one in 10 thought her parents were at fault.

Opinion was divided when it came to the question of whether Spears could recover from this meltdown.

She enjoyed a brief comeback in October with her new single "Gimme More" and her first album in four years, "Blackout," which hit No. 2 on the U.S. pop album charts.

Two out 10 respondents thought Spears could restore her reputation with fans -- but two out of 10 did not think this was possible with men and younger fans less forgiving.

The survey found 45 percent said maybe she could recover while 11 percent did not know.

"Get help, get clean, start over. People root for the underdog so as long as she is trying she can come back," said one respondent.

Others weren't so sympathetic.

"Up until the children weren't taken care of, she had a chance to bounce back. I don't think there is anything she can do at this point," said another.

E-Poll Market Research provides consumer research for entertainment and media companies about celebrities, characters and brands using a proprietary research panel.

Paris Hilton Lesbian Rumors Get Fresh Fuel

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton turned heads at last week’s The L-Word premiere. Fresh off her lesbianic appearance, gossip blog JJ’s Dirt claims “a very close friend” of Hilton’s confirmed in a statement to The Queerty web page:

In an exclusive interview, with a VERY close friend of Hilton’s, I can confirm that Hilton has been sexually involved with Lindsay Lohan, Kimberly Stewart, Britney Spears and of course Nicole Lenz.

On top of Hilton’s sexual history, it was confirmed to me that she still loves her drugs…Not naming anything in particular, just stating “the usual.”

Meanwhile, Showtime’s using Hilton’s appearance as a marketing ploy. Actress chum Katherine Moennig describes herself and Paris as “two peas in a pod”. Does she mean attention loving press mongers or dykes?

Britney Spears: Pregnant Or Playing Tricks?

Is Britney Spears pregnant, or does she just want to keep everyone guessing?

The pop star and her paparazzo boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, were photographed Monday night by Ghalib's agency, FinalPixx, while browsing pregnancy tests at a Rite Aid drugstore in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, she and Ghalib were photographed and videotaped at no less than five different drugstores in Southern California, apparently looking for an item they couldn't find. At the time, it was speculated she was looking for sleeping pills, since Ghalib quipped to his former paparazzi cohorts, "We're ready for some sleep," when asked if they were ready for court the next day. (She ended up not being ready at all.)

But the photo of her perusing a pregnancy test called "Answer" just raises more questions — as does the fact that she's sporting what looks like a diamond ring on her ring finger and, when she visited a Mercedes-Benz car dealership on Friday with Ghalib, she was wearing the short, white lace Monique Lhuillier wedding dress from her 2004 marriage to Kevin Federline.

As the rumors circulate that Spears is trying to get pregnant (see the cover story of the new issue of OK! Magazine); hoping to marry Ghalib (who is already married, to a woman named AzLynn Berry); or considering converting to Islam, the singer's former assistant Alli Sims spoke out against Ghalib in the new issue of Us Weekly.

"I do not think Adnan is a good person," Sims told the magazine. "I think he only has bad intentions. He has always given me a weird feeling and creeped me out. I wish he would just go away."

Noting that she doesn't know Ghalib outside of his role as a celebrity photographer who trailed them "for the last eight months," Sims thinks Ghalib made his move to get into Spears' inner circle when Sims went home for the holidays. "Because he knows good and well I would have been like, 'Who are you?' " she said.

Spears has a tough time keeping people in her life, Sims said, because people often sell her out, "making up lies and selling stories." Ghalib, whose former photo agency has been getting the exclusive on much of Spears' most recent whereabouts, has been accused of the same. But there is hope as long as either associate Sam Lufti or Sims is still in the picture, Sims said, because Spears still trusts them.

"When [Sam] is around, she ends up doing what needs to be done — court appearances, meetings, etc.," Sims said, although Lufti's companionship on Monday didn't help Spears make it up the court steps.

"When you go through your whole life just listening to what everybody tells you to do, you get to a point where you're not used to having to pick out yourself what is really important," Sims said. "If we pulled her aside and were like, 'No, this is really important,' it's not a fight, it's not an argument. It's, 'Oh, OK, OK, OK. Then let's go ahead and get it done.' But at the end of the day, it's her life. She is 26 years old, and she is going to do what she thinks she needs to do."

Even if that means losing custody of her kids and causing concern that she has a mental illness.

"She's not crazy," Sims said in her defense, while also admitting, "But I don't even really know what's going on."

Ghalib, for his part, told Us Weekly, "We are just enjoying each other's company. [Britney] is not what people perceive her to be, and that is unfortunate."

Paris Hilton leads LA prison riot

A judge sentenced Paris Hilton to an additional 45 days in county jail Friday for in-sighting inmates to revolt. The extended sentence has certainly put the brakes on the hotel heiress's famous high life.....or has it.

According to jail officials Hilton offered to share her bunk for a night with anyone that could get her a bottle of Jack Daniel's and a carton of Marlboro Reds. 14 guards and jail staffers were injured in the melee that followed Hilton's offer. Police officers called to the scene described how male and female inmates alike went into action, destroying jail facilities and looting store rooms in-search of Tennessee whiskey and cigarettes.

After several hours of violence calm was restored but Hilton and the other inmates remained in a tense stand off with Police and the LA county S.W.A.T. team. In the early morning hours of the following day, Hilton handed over control of the jail and surrendered to authorities. As she was returned to her cell Hilton explained "The party was over, The bottle was empty and I traded the last of the smokes for a pedicure."

Hilton's spokesman Elliot Mintz stated "We all know Paris Hilton is a young women of many talents, She has shown great skill diffusing a situation that could have been dangerous."

Hilton, who parlayed her name and relentless partying into worldwide notoriety, had been in police custody for less than 24 hours when the revolt took place. "There's no doubt she knew her actions would lead to a general disturbance in the jail." stated the judge as he awarded the heiress an additional 45 days in jail.

In the hearing following the riot Elliot Mintz, Hilton and her attorneys characterized the events as "All in good fun". According to Hollywood insiders the film rights to "Simple Life in Jail" have been offered for 28 Million dollars plus 15% of box office receipts.

Lindsay Lohan: Still a Boozing Babe?

Hollywood hottie Lindsay Lohan was caught taking a swig from a champagne bottle on New Year's Eve during her licentious tour of Capri, Italy.

That would be just fine -- hey, do as the Romans do, huh? -- but Lohan is supposedly recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. She pled guilty to drunken driving and cocaine possession last year in Los Angeles..he Associated Press reports that her attorney claims the New Year's misstep was just a one-time thingy. Swear.

"After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year's Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay immediately stopped, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track," said the attorney, the alliterative Blair Berk.

We hear that she didn't inhale, either.

Berk's statement might be believable -- if Lindsay wasn't also seen in Italy this week making out with three different men over a 24-our period.

"Unfortunately, Lindsay has to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world," Berk said.

One day at a time. Or, one man at a time?

Paris Hilton shows best stripper moves on stage

Socialite Paris Hilton went beyond her duties as hostess at hotspot LAX in Las Vegas while counting down to 2008 with her sister, Nicky, and showed off her best stripper moves on stage.

When Paris wasn't dangling from the curtains with her exotic dancing, she found time to chat with none other than Larry Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn, pagesix.com reports. He sure has a thing for blondes.

As the clock ticked down 12, Paris and Nicky turned to one another to share a smooch.

Forget Grandpa Hilton's inheritance - Paris is in the money!

Paris clearly isn't taking the news that her inheritance has been slashed to a mere £2.5million too badly - as she clutched a wad of dollar bills of her own on another long night out.

The socialite appears to have started giving away her inheritance as she threw handfuls of dollar bills into the air while she partied at LAX nightclub in Las Vegas. The hotel heiress and celebrity sex tape star has been hopping from club to club all year since her release from jail last year - and last night exceeded even her own boozy standards with an impromptu table-dancing session in the Las Vegas hotspot.

Dressed in a black minidress, and clearly the worse for wear, the New Year's Eve celebrations continued in the carefree world of Paris Hilton as she celebrated yet another wild night out by kissing a female clubber. The news of Paris' reduced inheritance appears to have sent her off the rails as she has spent the last few days cosying up to Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline, and even flirted with Anna Nicole Smith's ex Larry Birkhead.

Paris' loose behaviour is said to be the main reason her grandfather Barron Hilton has pledged 97 per cent of his £1.15billion fortune to a charitable foundation.

However, the socialite, who reports suggest was expecting closer to £50million of Hilton cash, appears not be that bothered about the dramatic cut in her inheritance.

Paris, who makes hundreds of thousands of dollars from endorsing products, said last year that she doesn't rely on her family for money.

She said: "Everything I've done I've done on my own I make my own money, I don't take anything from my family - I love making my own cash I'm not doing it for anyone else but me". According to reports, Paris's grandfather has been unhappy with the star's media attention, and it appears he has cause for complaint.

The socialite first came to prominence in 2003 when a sex tape featuring her and ex-boyfriend Rick Saloman appeared on the internet.

In June last year, Hilton served 22 days in jail after being found guilty of driving with a suspended license.

Jerry Oppenheimer, author of House of Hilton: From Conrad to Paris: A Drama of Wealth, Power and Privilege, said Barron Hilton is unimpressed by Paris's behaviour in recent years.

Oppenheimer said: "Barron Hilton was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris."

And now the 26-year-old socialite is expected to receive £2.5million compared to her original £50million expectation.

The hotel heiress has been partying hard since her recent break-up with her boyfriend, Swedish model Alex Vaggo.

And recently celebrated Christmas with a family holiday in Hawaii.

She has been linked to a number of men this year, including rocker Kid Rock, ex-husband of actress Pamela Anderson, as well as former fiancé Stavros Niarchos and musician and actor Josh Henderson.

Lindsay Lohan 'back on track'

Lindsay Lohan rang in the New Year drinking champagne in Italy, her lawyer says, but is "back on track" in terms of sobriety. A video obtained by The Associated Press shows Lohan, who spent much of 2007 in and out of rehab, taking a swig from a champagne bottle while in Capri, Italy.

"After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year's Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay immediately stopped, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track," her attorney, Blair Berk, said in a statement. "There is no magic cure here."

"Unfortunately, Lindsay has to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world," Berk said.

Lohan, 21, was in Italy to receive an award at the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival.

Lohan pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges in two arrests earlier in the year.

As a result, she served 84 minutes in jail in November. She also was sentenced to three years' probation, required to complete an 18-month alcohol-education program and spend 30 days in a residential rehabilitation clinic.

Lohan's screen credits include Mean Girls and Freaky Friday.

Paris Hilton and Brussels incur grapes of wrath

The winemakers of northern Italy are fighting to defend what they claim is their heritage against an unlikely twin threat — from Hungary and the American heiress Paris Hilton.

The battle with Budapest stems from a European Union decision allowing Hungary but not Italy to use the term “Tokai”, “Tocai” or “Tokaj”, although wine producers in Friuli-Venezia Giulia have been using it for centuries.

The tussle with Paris Hilton, meanwhile, is over a drink called Rich Prosecco and its advertising campaign featuring the heiress wearing nothing but a coating of gold paint, in imitation of the actress Shirley Eaton in the James Bond film Goldfinger.

On the whole Italians do not object to seeing Ms Hilton in the nude. What has caused anger is that she has not only used the name “prosecco”, which Italians regard as their copyright, but also — sacrilegiously — put the drink in a can and mixed it with fruit juice.

The defence offered by Ms Hilton’s publicity machine is that Rich Prosecco is not being marketed in Italy. It was launched last year at a typically extravagant “mega-party” in the Austrian Alps. Ms Hilton, who emerged from a helicopter in a glittering dress, declared the drink to be “yummy”.

Günther Aloys, the businessman who created Rich Prosecco, said that she was “pleasant and uncomplicated. Nobody embodies carefree lust for life as convincingly and glamorously as Paris Hilton.”

However, in Treviso, one of the centres of Italian prosecco production, winemakers are not amused. Fulvio Brunetta, head of the Treviso branch of Coldiretti, the farmers’ union, said that Ms Hilton’s drink was an insult. He said Italian producers would meet this month to consider their response, “up to and including legal action”. Mr Brunetta said that he had nothing against Ms Hilton. “But she is . . . creating a generation of consumers who will forever associate the name of prosecco with something similar to an alcoholic fruit drink.”

He was supported by winemakers in neighbouring Friuli, who are taking a similar stand over a ruling by the European Court of Justice that they must use the name Friuliano for a wine now known as Tocai.

Hungarians say that only wine made in the Tokaj region of Hungary, where wine has been produced for 1,000 years, has a legitimate claim to the name. The Friuli-Venezia Giulia branch of Federdoc, the association of wine producers, wanted to call their wine Tocai Friuliano. “It would almost be comical if it were not so serious,” the association said. “Chambers of commerce that have to register Friuli wine for 2008 cannot because they don’t know what to call it.”

Hungary was given exclusive rights to the Tokai, Tokaj or Tocai label after its accession to the EU in 2004.

Attorney says Britney Spears will be deposed soon in custody case

The attorney for Kevin Federline says he wants to depose Britney Spears soon, the latest step in the former couple's ongoing child-custody battle.

"Britney Spears will have her deposition early (next) year," Mark Vincent Kaplan told People.com late Saturday outside a Beverly Hills restaurant. "We've got a lot to talk about."

Spears, 26, called in sick to a court-ordered deposition Dec. 12, although she was photographed that day driving with a friend.

"She was, in fact, out later that day and night," Kaplan said. "It's not fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all OK."

Spears and Federline have been wrangling for months over custody of their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James.

Federline, 29, has temporary custody of the children because Spears, who has limited visitation rights, has defied court orders. Spears and Federline were married in October 2004 and finalized their divorce in July.

Paris Hilton Gets Cozy With Kevin Federline

Hotel party princess Paris Hilton was spotted cozying up to bosom buddy Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline in Los Angeles this weekend, according to London's Daily Mail.

Capping off a catastrophic year for 26-year-old fallen pop star Spears, her out-on-the-town other half Paris was photographed getting friendly with her babies' daddy K-Fed at hotspot Lax.

Hilton, also 26, hit the club circuit alone and Brit-less over the weekend.

But K-Fed soon rushed to the former prisoner's side and planted a kiss on her cheek. The pair were seen giggling and whispering throughout the night.

Possible Drunk & Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears & Britney Spears sighting at Borgata Casino in AC

SheTalksTooMuch has a possible Britney Spears and a VERY Drunk & Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears sighting in Atlantic City at the Borgata Casino. Britney is in a purple wig instead of her signature pink one, and Jamie Lynn is stumbling through the casino floor and states 'some old man just called me a fucking bitch'.

What do you think was this Britney and Jamie Lynn back being a hot mess together? Oh the wonderful Spears family.

Lindsay Lohan kissing three men in three days

Lindsay Lohan has been spotted kissing three men in just three days.

The 'Mean Girls' star was photographed in romantic clinches with three Italian "hunks" on the Italian island of Capri as she attended the Capri Film Festival over the weekend.

First she was pictured kissing Italian waiter Alessandro Di Nunzio soon after arriving on the island on Friday, before sharing a kiss with actor Eduardo Costa the following day.

The 21-year-old actress was then caught on camera yesterday morning canoodling with actor Dario Faiella, the son of Italian music legend Peppino Di Capri.

An onlooker said, "Lindsay is really enjoying herself in Capri. She has a thing for dark-haired Italian hunks. She wasn't content to just share a kiss with one man - it seemed like she was on a mission.

"She doesn't seem to have had any time for anything but men since she got here."

It was recently rumoured that Lindsay is dating 28-year-old music producer J.R. Rotem, who has previously been romantically linked to Britney Spears.

Lindsay is attending the Capri Film Festival to be honored for her contribution to cinema.

Festival producer Pascal Vicedomini said, "It is indeed an honor to have Lindsay Lohan at Capri. We are delighted to recognize her talent as a performing artist, as well as her position as an icon in the world of entertainment."

Paris' inheritance pledged to charity

US hotel heiress Paris Hilton's potential inheritance dramatically diminished after her grandfather Barron Hilton announced plans to donate 97% of his $US2.3 billion fortune to charity.

That wealth includes $US1.2 billion Barron Hilton stands to earn from both the recent sale of Hilton Hotels Corp. - started by his father Conrad in 1919 when he bought a small hotel in Cisco, Texas - and pending sale of the world's biggest casino company, Harrah's Entertainment Inc.

That money will be placed in a charitable trust that will eventually benefit the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, raising its total value to about $US4.5 billion, the foundation said in a statement.

Barron Hilton, chairman of the foundation, intends "to contribute 97% of his entire net worth, estimated today at $US2.3 billion, including the created trusts, at whatever value it is at the time of his passing," the foundation said.

Paris Hilton was not immediately available for comment on her grandfather's plans for his fortune.

Jerry Oppenheimer, who profiled the Hilton family in his 2006 book "House of Hilton," has said Barron Hilton is embarrassed by the behavior of his socialite granddaughter Paris and believes it has sullied the family name.

Barron Hilton, who is 80, has not commented on Oppenheimer's remarks.

The foundation supports projects that provide clean water in Africa, education for blind children, and housing for the mentally ill. Its aims, based on Conrad Hilton's will, are "to relieve the suffering, the distressed and the destitute."

"Speaking for the family as well as the foundation, we are all exceedingly proud and grateful for this extraordinary commitment," said Steven Hilton, one of Barron's sons and president and chief executive of the foundation.

Conrad Hilton established the foundation in 1944 and when he died in 1979 left virtually all of his fortune - including, according to media reports at the time, a 27% controlling stake in Hilton Hotels - to the charity.

But Barron Hilton challenged the will and after a nearly decade-long legal struggle reached an out-of-court settlement to split ownership of the shares with the foundation in 1988, The New York Times reported.

The hotel group was sold for $US20 billion in October to private equity firm Blackstone Group, while the acquisition of Harrah's - of which Barron Hilton was a board member until 2006-- is due to be completed by Apollo Management and TPG Capital in early 2008.

Paris, a symbol of celebrity privilege in America, gained notoriety in 2003 when a home video of her having sex with a boyfriend was posted on the Internet.

She parlayed her notoriety, fueled by tabloid headlines about her partying lifestyle, into a celebrity career that has included a reality television show, a book, a music album, and film roles. Then this year she spent more than three weeks in jail for violating probation in a drunk-driving case.
