Lindsay Lohan's mom agreed with pictures same to Monroe

Lindsay Lohan is pictured assuming the same poses Monroe did in her infamous "last sitting" for photographer Bert Stern 46 years ago, relates Chicago Tribune.

Dina Lohan has given the thumbs up to the nude photographs of her daughter in the latest issue of New York magazine.

"It was very tastefully done," she told People of her daughter’s cover shoot.

Lindsay recently paired up with photographer Bert Stein to recreate his legendary 1962 nude shoot with Marilyn Monroe. The photos appeared in New York magazine earlier this week, showing Lohan covered occasionally by see-through bits of fabric.

A Las Vegas man plans to unveil what he says is a rare photo of Marilyn Monroe posing as a nude hitchhiker. Lawrence Nicastro says he found the photo last year while going through storage items.

Speaking of Monroe and nudity, Lindsay Lohan's manager-mom Dina approves of the nude re-creations Lindsay did. "It was very tastefully done," Dina told People of the re-creation of Monroe's 1962 photo shoot by Bert Stern. "I respect the photographer as an artist, so I look at them artistically."

Paris Hilton parties with Pussycat Dolls

Paris Hilton performs as a Las Vegas Pussycat Doll at her birthday party on the weekend.

Paris Hilton celebrated her 27th birthday by performing a sexy striptease on Saturday night.

The hotel heiress wore three separate outfits for the performance in the Pussycat Dolls Lounge in Las Vegas' Caesar's Palace, and ended up in a white sparkly bra and knickers set performing a raunchy dance routine in a giant martini glass alongside the Pussycat Dolls.

One onlooker said: "Paris looked as though she was having a fantastic time!

She started off wearing black bondage lingerie before changing into a corset, knickers and suspenders.

"By the end of the performance she was in this martini glass and the crowd was going crazy."

Following the sexy show, Paris joined her friends at the Pure nightclub next door where they indulged in some more traditional birthday celebrations.

Paris recently revealed she had designed her own outfits for the performance.

She said: "I'm designing my own costume, something sexy. I've been practising all week. This is my first time singing and performing with the Pussycat Dolls. I'm totally nervous but it should be fun."

Lindsay Lohan recreates Marilyn Monroe's last nude photo shoot

Lindsay Lohan is following in the footsteps of the most famous blond bombshell of them all — Marilyn Monroe.

In the issue of New York magazine on sale Monday, the 21-year-old star of "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" poses nude for photographer Bert Stern in a recreation of one of Monroe's most famous photo shoots, done shortly before she died.

Stern photographed Monroe in 1962 at the Hotel Bel-Air in California, six weeks before she was found dead from an overdose of barbiturates. Those images for Vogue magazine feature Monroe in next to nothing, posing nude with some scarves and jewelry as her accessories and sipping champagne.

Stern recreated those images with Lohan this month, at the same hotel, with Lohan wearing a blond wig and not much else.

In the essay accompanying the photos, Lohan, who admitted to a serious interest in Monroe, said deciding to do the photo shoot was easy.

"I didn't have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It's really an honor," she told the magazine.

Lohan described Monroe's suicide as "tragic" and said it, along with the Jan. 22 death of actor Heath Ledger from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, "are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone."

The actress, who has been in and out of rehab after two arrests last year on drunken driving and cocaine charges, said she didn't know why the industry wreaked such havoc on some stars, adding, ``I sure as hell wouldn't let it happen to me.''

Stern told The Associated Press that he found women like Lohan and her tabloid companions Paris Hilton and Britney Spears ``interesting.''

``They're girls that draw attention to their notoriety and their celebrity through their behavior,'' he said Monday.

He noted that Monroe and Lohan had similar problems with alcohol but added that — in contrast to the sessions with Monroe — there was no alcohol on the set when he photographed Lohan.

He said he thought the photo shoot would be good for the young actress, giving her the chance to portray herself as a grown-up. He also lauded her for her willingness to do it in the nude.

"I thought she was a natural, not at all squeamish," he said.

A phone message left for Lohan's publicist Leslie Sloane-Zelnik seeking comment Monday was not immediately returned.

Paris Hilton to be banned from attending the Oscars

Socialite Paris Hilton has been banned from attending the Oscars, according to Daily Star reports.

Hilton, whose latest film The Hottie And The Nottie is ranked the worst movie of all time, has already picked out a £2 million Kira Plastinina dress for the ceremony.

A source revealed to the Daily Star: "She cried hot, salty tears when she was banned from the Oscars.

"She’s desperate to be taken seriously as an actress and hoped she would be able to network with the film bods."

Hilton's acting career is in jeopardy after The Hottie And The Nottie grossed just £13,848 in its opening weekend in the US.

The source also said Hilton may try to get into after-show parties but will probably have to go incognito.

"She’s tempted to go to the parties afterwards, but might wear her trademark brunette wig to save her dignity."

Judge puts brakes on Britney Spears' traffic case

A judge put the brakes on Britney Spears' driving-without-a-license case Wednesday after her lawyers said they don't believe the troubled pop star is capable of resolving the matter.

Superior Court Judge T.K. Herman continued the misdemeanor case until March 20 after lawyer J. Michael Flanagan said Spears' conservatorship attorneys "do not think she is qualified or capable of entering into a binding agreement" at this time.

The attorneys also don't believe Spears, 26, is capable of giving a deposition or signed declaration, Flanagan said.

Earlier this month, a judge placed Spears under the conservatorship of her father and an attorney after more than a year of increasingly bizarre behavior by the singer.

Spears hit a parked car on Aug. 6, 2007, and left without notifying the owner. She was originally cited for hit and run and driving without a license, but the hit-and-run charge was dropped.
