Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to trouble - rehab, arrests, jail time - and now a team of superheroes have come to her rescue.
A makeshift Justice League, including Batman and Robin, Spiderman and The Incredible Hulk swooped in to join the actress for a quirky photo shoot in Los Angeles yesterday.
Bemused onlookers watched as Lindsay, who sported a beehive and a series of glamorous frocks, posed with the fictional crime-fighters on the streets of Hollywood.
Lindsay has been quietly getting back to work after a tumultuous year, which most recently included a 84 minute stint in jail as part of her plea deal in her two drink driving cases.
She has started filming her next movie, Dare To Love Me and is scheduled to head back to the studio to record another album to be released next year.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old is once again an eligible bachelorette after splitting from snowboarder Riley Giles, whom she met while at Utah's Cirque Lodge rehab centre in August.
A source said: "She is concentrating on her life and her career."
But she may not be single for long - Lindsay is already spending time with her former flame Stavros Niarchos.
She was spotted with the Greek shipping heir, who dated both Lindsay and her nemesis Paris Hilton, in Hollywood late last night.
